Art is never finished, only abandoned.= Leonardo da Vinci
Leonardo would say that.
The man who studied cadavers, engineering, warfare and dabbled in art enough to become immortal would leave us with a standard for relentless pursuit and constant angst for improvement. Its hard enough to cast a vision before the world that will intrigue it while aesthetically satisfying your soul, without the constant shadow of reevaluation and false closure looking over your shoulder. Thanks Leo. Making art is a struggle to find completion in both of the idea and the work. Sometimes you have to take it as far as it will let you and push the painting to its end, when adding another mark is too much.
is it abandoned? or finished?
Hmmmmm..
